Hi, everyone! Next Thursday (September 10th), we're having a library event at the Fairfield Area Library from 6:30-7:30PM. It's an opportunity for our HVA families to explore resources available to you through our county's public libraries, as well as to sign up for public library cards if you'd like. There will be a very short presentation followed by time for you to meet the children's librarian and ask about what sorts of events and activities are coming up that you might be interested in attending, too! Families can RSVP via THIS LINK:

HVA is excited to welcome Mr. Brad Fernald as acting principal for the rest of the 2025-2026 school year. Here is his principal's message and please help us by welcoming him into his new role at HVA.
Dear HVA Families,
It is an honor to connect with you. Effective Monday, February 9, I am excited to begin serving the Henrico Virtual Academy community as your Acting Principal.
Our school is a unique and exciting place where innovative learning happens every day. As I step into this role, my primary goal is to ensure a smooth and seamless transition for every student, from our youngest Kindergarteners to our graduating seniors.
I am a firm believer that the best outcomes for students happen through teamwork and collaboration. I look forward to partnering closely with our talented educators and with you—our families—to maintain the high standards of excellence and support that define HVA. Dr. Antione Monroe will transition into the Associate Principal position. He will continue to be the point of contact for High School instruction, and I will be the point of contact for elementary and middle school instruction.
We are in this together, and I am committed to keeping our momentum strong as we move through the second semester. I look forward to "seeing" you in our virtual hallways and celebrating the many successes of our students.
Yours in Education,
Bradley V. Fernald
